The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) held the JIIA-Sejong Conference on October 17, 2023, in Tokyo. This Conference has been held since 2019 with the Sejong Institute, the Republic of Korea (ROK) .

Experts from both Japan and the ROK, including Amb. Kenichiro Sasae, President of JIIA, and Dr. Sanghyun Lee, President of the Sejong Institute, participated in this discussion and exchanged views on (1) Current status and potential of Japan-ROK/Japan-U.S.-ROK cooperation, (2) Political situation in Northeast Asia.
