On December 12, 2023, The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA）conducted its regular dialogue with the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) in Tokyo. The meeting saw a lively exchange of views on international affairs, with a focus on security issues, and the dynamics of Japan-China relations. The delegations were headed by Tomoyuki Yoshida, Director General of the JIIA, and Hu Jiping, Vice President of CICIR.
