The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) held the 17th Trilateral Cooperation Forum of Japan, the People's Republic of China (PRC), and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on November 7, 2024, in Beijing. This forum has been convened regularly since 2008 in collaboration with the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security, Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA-IFANS).
Experts and scholars from Japan, the PRC, and the ROK joined the discussions, exchanging views on trilateral relations and cooperation, as well as the security situation in Northeast Asia. The delegations were led by Mr. Tomoyuki Yoshida, Chief Executive Director of JIIA; Dr. Liu Qing, Vice President of CIIS; and Ambassador Lee Moonhee, Senior Executive Director of KNDA-IFANS.
