On November 20, 2024, the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) held its regular dialogue with the Institute of International Relations (IIR) of NCCU in Taipei.

Researchers and experts from both Japan and Taiwan participated in a lively exchange of views on the geopolitical outlook following the 2024 U.S. presidential election and avenues for Japan-Taiwan cooperation. The delegations were led by Mr. Tomoyuki Yoshida, Chief Executive Director of JIIA, and Dr. Hsin-Hsien Wang, Director of IIR.
